Aden, Rising Star, dirt loving mongrel, Bastard, Boy, or any other name used by the slave keepers, his wife calls him “my love”, and his daughters call him Daddy, his “co-workers” call him Boss.

  • Measurements: Aden has never measured himself, but he is very strong and has broad shoulders, think arms and legs. Since he has had to survive on the diet of a slave for over 25 years he has an athletic frame instead of a powerful frame.

When not in social settings, Aden has little interest in being civilized, but since he was not given any form of education or even had proper parents his style is that of necessity and what little he can scrape together to cover himself and still feel warm.

A tribal tattoo on his left bicep circles his arm, it is in the traditional dwarven warrior style, with symmetrical right angles
  • General Appearance:
Aden keeps his shoulders straight, his chin up, and his eyes open, especially when he is being spoken to. This rigid posture is from a life of servitude and fear from the whip. He occasionally broods and keeps his head down and facing the ground. When fighting he is alert, ready, and fast, ready to strike or shout an order to those around him.

He loves his wife and twin daughters, neither he nor Penelope know who their parents or siblings are, if any.

Beraht, the Dwarf slave, is a procurer of “things”, and on several occasions Aden has had to stand up for him in order to prevent another slave from being executed. Beraht, in turn, has given Aden and his family some choice clothes, foods, and other valuable goods for free. The guard captain, Thomas Vect and his second in command Elizabeth Mortinson are the main targets of Aden's hate. They have, on several occasions made an example of Aden or his family for being disobedient or rude in the face of superiors. Daveth, The noble who technically owns Aden, has sometimes been into the slave quarter to enforce his rule as the owner of the property called slaves.
  • Educational History:
Beyond manners training and the occasional free lesson in some topic or another, Aden has no formal education. Much of his conversations with truly educated people are about how much money he is winning for them and some inane inquiry about his love of the Shinning Capitol of High Reach. At one point he was being given basic arithmetic and history classes by an elven slave, however, she was executed for treason.
  • Work History:
All Aden has ever done in his life is work. 18 years ago, he was put to work in a mine, hauling shinny rocks out of the ground. 16 years ago, he was given the job of polishing the palace steps each night. 7 years ago he was given the job of sewage disposal. And 2 years ago, he was given some basic training in martial practice, and made to be a slave fighter in the Theater of Battle, where he flourished and put on one great show after another. Slaves are not given anything that is seen as a luxury, but after he earned his freedom, he has found wine and spirits to be very exciting.

When a person, that Aden does not know, is speaking to him, he tends to respond quickly and respectfully, even if the person that is talking to him does not demand respect or any kind of authority.

Deep down, Aden is a good person, and wants to see the best for all people, especially those with less than fortunate circumstances. He can use his strength and his power to inspire courage in his allies and fear in his enemies. Through his inspiring fury he can influence courage and fear in people and crowds.

Being a leader of soldiers is difficult, but such a charismatic and strong character, Aden is a capable warlord. He leads from the front, with a sword and shield, or any other weapon he can lay his hands on; he is particularly fond of a jagged curved longsword he owns. The farm he owns is run by his family, and 4 farmhands, employed by Aden, all of which are fairly trustworthy, if not a little lazy at times.
