THE BAD
- NO OFFLINE CHARACTER BUILDER SUPPORT. It can still be downloaded, but there won't be any more updates.
- You can't access or use the character builder without logging into an active account. (On the plus side, ANY NUMBER of people can access the one account and use character builder. NO LIMIT. Just need to share a user name / password...)
- No home brew content available YET. (to be included later)
- It comes out November 16th and not tomorrow. :-(
THE GOOD
- You can use ALL the new material... minus the Heroes of Forgotten Kingdom stuff which is BRAND brand new. (YAY DARK SUN! Finally...)
- You can import all your previous characters to the online database... no need to recreate everyone!
- You can export your character data as a PDF file to share with DM and friends.
- COMPLETELY redesigned to be sexy and fancy.
- I've got pics.
I'll do it. I was going to do it just to have Dark Sun material anyway. I do the three month at a time thing, since it's only $20 and change, so in a few days, I'll sign back up and share my info. with you all so we can all have access! And if anyone wanted to marginally compensate, well that would be cool too...

ReplyDeleteAnd supposedly there are other tools as well that are going to be revealed. Probably, and I'm just guessing, sometime in March? That's when the new Shadow Classes come out like Hexblade, Necromancer, and Assassin (final build)!
